Role and Responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch, Migrate, Maintain, and upgrade Open-source Database platforms Databases like PostgreSQL, and AWS RDS.
• Configuration and support of complex RDS Databases in the AWS environment, Configuring and managing high availability, resiliency solutions leveraging Aurora Read replicas & Global Database.
• Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.
• Developing, and deploying database applications and other technology solutions that can involve multiple physical locations and business units.
• Reasoning and analyzing complex information.

Required Experience/Skills

• 8+ years of experience in managing Postgres databases. 5 years of experience should be on the cloud version preferably AWS experience in managing databases as RDS services in AWS, security policy, user authentication, IAM, and database administration in AWS. 
• Working Knowledge of EDB, Oracle, SQL Server, and AWS day-to-day operation on S3 EC2, etc.
• Experience in Postgres SQL performance improvement, indexing/other approaches Good experience in partitioning databases.
• Experience with message queuing, full-text indexing, and other high-performance data concepts.
  
• Experience in AWS environment management and knowledge of different tools for the same.
  
• Experience in Postgres SQL migration approach, estimating it, and technically managing it.
  
• Advanced understanding of Linux OS, use SSH to connect to remote systems with password & public/private keys.
• Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation levels.
